PTV provides licence files the license.ptv which covers access to each component and certain features. Without a valid licence file, you cannot start the PTV xServer. The following different types are provided by PTV:
license.ptv to develop applications. This licence type allows you to use the whole array of PTV xServer and certain data content for development purposes. Please contact your dedicated sales partner to request the contractual agreements.license.ptv is also provided by PTV. Using this licence allows you to run an application or service in a product environment. Your representative sales contact would be happy to provide you with the corresponding licence model.Please take into account the expiry date, which is the primary licence key that allows each service to start up successfully. The licence information is accessible at the PTV Management Console.
The licence allows PTV xServer to be run only for test purposes and is limited to a maximum of 6 months. Afterwards an SDK licence is necessary, which includes the test period.
The SDK owner has the right to develop software applications or provide services on the basis of the PTV developer components. The SDK owner will use the applications and the services only in accordance with the contractual agreement. The developer contract defines a runtime of 2 years and includes access to the complete spectrum of PTV xServer and the corresponding data content. An updated contract must be concluded when purchasing the initial licence. Your representative sales contact would be happy to provide you with the appropriate licence agreement for developers.
The applications and services based on PTV xServer are used in a product environment in accordance with the licence conditions for end users. The various use types are described in the Licensing section. Do not hesitate to contact your representative sales partner to get the appropriate licence agreement.
