Phased Out Versions

We would like to let you know that the PTV xServer versions, their add-ons, the corresponding PTV Maps and the used Java runtime environment will be discontinued, with announcements in PTV's Developer Blog.

As of the dates provided in the Developer Bolg, neither updates (called "minor releases") nor support will be offered.

Please visit PTV's Developer Zone to find out about the current PTV xServer versions available.

PTV xServer

We only support the current major version and the incorporated updates (called "minor releases").

Caution: All versions with lower numbers of PTV xServer as the current major version have already been discontinued, as announced in PTV's Developer Blog.

Add-On products

We only support the current major version available in the PTV Developer Zone.

PTV Maps

We only support the current major map version and the corresponding minor map version.

Java Runtime Environment

The JRE is no longer included since version 1.28, we have tested PTV xServer with the Java installations listed here.

Why Are the Product Versions Being Phased out?

The PTV xServer development components, their add-ons and PTV Maps are constantly being enhanced. Many new and improved functions have been integrated at the request of our customers. In addition, you will have noticed that a maintenance contract on the current versions pays off, as it integrates extended functions. It also guarantees that you remain up-to-date – a basic prerequisite for day-to-day operations. PTV is therefore meeting the growing needs of its customers. On the other hand, costs arise from supporting older software versions. For this reason, PTV, like other software providers, has to limit the number of software versions available. Our resources will be redirected into further improvements of the PTV xServer. The current software solutions therefore create the perfect conditions for your business applications.
